YEA R-Team 41 Aeronca Chief Project
Under the careful supervision of Frank
Herdzina, the Chief project is starting to look like an airplane.
The YEA assisted by the R Team have completed assembly of the
ribs.
The spars have been beautifully sanded and revarnished and
fitted with the new ribs and freshly rebuilt metal fittings.
Randy Ferris and Chuck Jansen assisting
with the wing alignment. Chuck teaches the monthly classroom
session while Randy provides metal working and fabricating
skills to the group.
The YEA and R Team meets Thursday
nights between 6:30 PM and 9PM. Boys and girls between 14
and 19 are welcome.
There is a small yearly registration fee. YEA members "learn
by doing" many aspects of aviation. We go on field trips,
help out during Museum events and learn about aviation from
the ground up.
Our Mission is to teach our young people about
responsibility, team-work and aviation while having fun.
Stop by any Thursday night or
